Emmerdale fans were left stunned as they made what they think is a fresh discovery about Caleb Milligan over a one-word clue. Viewers of the ITV soap now know that Caleb's dad is the late Frank Tate, making sense of his secret vendetta against Kim.
But not only that, it was revealed that Home Farm's new nanny, Nicky, is his son and has been planted within the family by his dad as he prepared to oust Kim and get his hands on his birthright. While little is still known about Caleb, other than that he was introduced as the long-lost brother of Cain and Chas Dingle, a heated confrontation with new love interest Leyla Harding appeared to uncover a new detail.
During Thursday night’s instalment of Emmerdale (April 13), Caleb revealed that he was still married, presumably to Nicky's mum, Caleb but insisted he was "separated" from his wife, and was looking to pursue a romance with Leyla. However, he claimed he was reluctant to be seen in public with her, as he "didn’t want his kids" to find out and judge him.

And the reference to "kids" sparked viewers' interest as up until now they only knew he had fathered Nicky. @LoveRealityTV4 said: "CALEB SAID KIDS NICKY ISNT HIS ONLY CHILD WHATTT #Emmerdale." @sofaneilas tweeted: "Kids.... so Nicky has a brother? a sister? a brother and a sister? are we about to have a crazy family feud off for the house? Can i be the presenter? #emmerdale."
@sharonharvey2_ posted: "Did anyone else note what Caleb said to leyla? ‘I’ve got kids to protect’ Kids as in more than one. So there’s not only Nicky…? Another Tate on its way then? Hmm @emmerdale." @tamlizann25 asked: "How many kids has Caleb? #Emmerdale."
Meanwhile, other fans think that Kim may be on to Caleb and Nicky. Kim was heard telling her husband Will Taylor that someone had informed her associates in Dubai that she was having financial troubles. Later in the episode, Caleb was seen convincing Kim that going to Dubai was the right move to prevent their developers from pulling out following their stud farm deal.
And Kim seemed to agree quite quickly and it wasn't long before she was packing her bags and heading to the airport. Once she had left, Gabbby Thomas appeared keen to keep her interests in The Hop but Caleb sauntered over and wanted to discuss business. While she insisted it was her job, Caleb claimed Kim wanted him to be across all parts of her empire until she returned.
But after seeing Kim cave so easily, Emmerdale fans took to social media to ponder as to whether Kim knows more than she is currently letting on. @Pilch1972 tweeted: "Kim is on to Nicky and celeb…. She is just playing along….#emmerdale." @MichZiff posted: "I refuse to believe Kim Tate is not in charge & all over this Caleb/Nicky shenanigan! Don’t prove me wrong Kim.. I won’t be happy as gullible is not part of the plan. #Emmerdale."
@pam_debeauvoir shared: "Kim's got a plan. She's on to Caleb that's for sure #Emmerdale." @itzzzo_ commented: "I hope that it turns out that Caleb in fact does not have Kim in his palms. #Emmerdale." @Chris1968E added: "#Emmerdale it wouldn't surprise me if Kim was already onto creepy Caleb."
