ITV Emmerdale fans 'screaming' at their TVs as Cain Dingle is 'replaced'

Emmerdale fans were left "screaming" at their TVs as Cain Dingle was "replaced" by a new village bad boy.

During a recent episode viewers saw village vicar Charles Anderson under suspicion after Alex was involved in a hit and run. ITV viewers, however, know it was Billy Fletcher who ran his wife's former partner over.

The latest instalment of the ITV hit soap Alex woke up from his coma, with Charles being the first person he spoke to as he came around. Alex told Charles he was planning to tell police that Billy hit him, meaning he could be going to jail for a long time, Liverpool Echo reports.

Alex said: "The only time he'll get to play dad is in the visiting room". Charles urged Alex to instead "do the right thing for once in your life", as Alex asked: "What are you doing to do? You're a man of the cloth".

Charles then removed his collar as he issued a threat. Moving closer, he told Alex: "I'm going to help you make the right choices".

Emmerdale shared a clip of the interaction on its official Instagram account, with the caption: "We all thought Cain was the most intimidating person in the village".

Fans were loving the video, as Charles was unveiled as the new village bad boy. Taking to the comments section, Lorraine said: "Charles you were brilliant", while Maria said: "Screaming!! Who knows how scary Charles is?"

Dorothy said: "I'd be more scared of Charles right now than Cain and Caleb together". Dee said: "I'd love to know what he did before he was a vicar", and Mark said: "Cain’s not even in Charles’s league anymore!"
