ITV Emmerdale fans say soap has 'gone too far' with Noah and Chloe storyline

Emmerdale fans have said that the soap has "gone too far" with its latest storyline.

In the ITV soap, Noah Dingle has been stalking his ex-girlfriend Chloe Harris. Recent episodes have saw the obsessed teenager spy on Chloe using a drone, steal her keys and invade her bedroom and then steal her personal journal.

Last night, he planted the stolen diary on love rival Jacob while the youths attended a party together. Chloe found it in Jacob's bag and was reeling upon discovering it, quickly blaming the wrong person for snooping through her things.

But it was on tonight's episode where fans bashed the soap for "going too far". We saw Kerry discussing the stolen journal with Chloe and David and what to do next about it.

She said: "It's her personal journal. All of her private thoughts and feelings are in there."

Chloe intercepted as she said: "Well not really.... But that's not exactly the point."

David added: "No, the point is you said Jacob took it. But he said he didn't take it right?"

At that point, Jacob's ears must have been burning as he walked through the door and joined the group. He proclaimed his innocence as he said he didn't know how the diary had gotten into his bag.

Kerry said: "You're sticking to that story then? We will see what the police have got to say."

Fans were perplexed by Kerry wanting to get the police involved and took to Twitter. Ryan said: "Kerry getting the police involved is a bit too far, not going to lie #Emmerdale."

Jamie said: "Kerry threatening Jacob with the police for nicking the diary he didn't nick. She really has some nerve #Emmerdale."

Meanwhile, Mick said: "By all means get the police in, Kerry. You can mention Frankie Clayton while you’re about it? #Emmerdale."

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
