Emmerdale fans think Arthur Thomas should be apologising to Jai Sharma after accusing him of sabotaging his LGBTQ+ assembly. The teen left viewers of the ITV soap in tears last month when he told family friend Nicola King that he was gay.
Fans had been worried for the teen as he appeared troubled and unlike his usual self. They had been hoping for a sweet young romance between Arthur and April Windsor but the schoolboy fobbed his friend off. And after being teased by Jimmy King in the cafe, Arthur snapped at April when she challenged him on avoiding her.
It wasn't until later when being watched by Nicola with younger sister Dotty that Arthur opened up to Nicola. However, her son also overheard their chat and spilled his sexuality secret to the school, leading to him also having to tell his mum, Laurel.

But Arthur stood up to those mocking him with an exceptional comeback video posted by his pals online. However, he faced another challenge when his crush Marshall pretended to have reciprocated feelings for Arthur before it was cruelly exposed as a bet.
Marshall, however, has since returned to the village and is continuing to befriend Arthur after apologising for his actions. In intense scenes aired on Tuesday night (January 31), Marshall admitted he was drunk and did not know other schoolboys would be watching them kiss.
But Marshall appeared to be reciprocating Arthur's feelings and when he suggested they get to know each other better, Marshall tried to hold his hand and the pair started to lean towards sharing a kiss. They ended up being interrupted by a phone call from Marshall's dad and despite Arthur telling him to ignore it, Marshall rushed off and said: "I shouldn't be here."
It came after Arhtur had accused his step-dad of Jai of being behind the complaint to the school about his assembly on LGBTQ+ history and he confronted the businessman in front of Laurel. Arthur fumed: "They must think being gay is wrong - that I am wrong." But Jai replied: "Or they didn't want to stir up the hornets' nest, they might have a kid who is gay and they might be trying to protect him or her."
A penny seemingly dropping, Arthur turned and said: "It was you, wasn't it? You called the school." Jai has denied being the one to make the call that saw his assembly scrapped and now Emmerdale fans think they know who it is.
@Chris1968E tweeted: "#Emmerdale I'd say Arthur owes Jai an apology & it was Marshall's dad that called the school." @itzzzo_ posted: "Guessing by Marshall's reaction to his dad phoning him when he was with Arthur I reckon it was his dad is homophobic and is the one who phoned the school not Jai? #Emmerdale."
@felixw1 posted: "Prediction: Marshall's dad is the one who complained #Emmerdale." @googoogajoob78 echoed: "Marshall's dad will have rang the school #Emmerdale." @BadSanta6996 added: "His dad is no doubt some super macho homophobe storyline incoming #emmerdale."
