ITV Emmerdale fans point out blunder as Vinny and Liv's relationship is tested

Fans of Emmerdale spotted a bit of a blunder while watching tonight's episode.

They wondered why Vinny Dingle hadn't used his 'detective' skills to find out the truth about Sandra Flaherty's actions. The mischievous mum is back in the village and meddling in her daughter, Liv's, life.

Earlier in the week Sandra slipped alcohol into Liv's drink - knowing full well that the teenager is sober after facing drinking problems in the past. She was quick to tell Vinny that Liv had a drink, causing problems in their marriage.

Fans have been reeling over the fact that Vinny can't see what is really happening. They branded him a detective after he helped to bring down serial killer Meena Jutla earlier in the year.

The youngster put together his own incident board to help determine who the face behind a spate of murders was after Liv was wrongly imprisoned for them. With newspaper clippings, post-it notes and photographs all over the board, Vinny started to realise one person’s name was regularly cropping up – Meena.

It led to Vinny almost being yet another victim at the hands of the killer. But with such good detective skills, fans are confused as to why Vinny can't see what Sandra is up to now.

Taking to Twitter they shared their comments. Ryan said: "Open your eyes Vinny. If you can suss out Meena you can suss out slimy Sandra. #Emmerdale."

Chris said: "#Emmerdale so Vinny was the great detective before & now he's suddenly thick as a soap bosses brick." Michelle said: "Bored of this daft Sandra storyline now. Doesn’t help when everyone is too thick to see right through her. #emmerdale."
