ITV Emmerdale fans make same complaint about Charles as he discovers truth about Naomi

Emmerdale fans had their suspicions confirmed during the latest trip to the Dales as Naomi Walters' involvement in Nicola King's attack was revealed. Viewers of the ITV soap were horrified earlier this year when the long-standing character was brutally set up on by a gang of girls.

As she headed back to her car after going for a drink with half-sister Bernice Blackstock and Laurel Thomas, he came across two girls who appeared to be drinking. Engaging in a few comments, Nicola was left outnumbered when more teens arrived and circled her. The group ended up tormenting Nicola, getting hold of her bag and going through her belongings.

They then threw her phone across the ground as well as her keys before making her 'go fetch' them. As she picked up her smashed phone, the group wasn’t prepared to let Nicola walk away and shoved her to the floor. And in horrifying scenes, the girls kicked her as she lay defenceless on the ground.

Nicola begged them to stop as one member of the gang continued to kick her while the others laughed and filmed the disgusting attack. Eventually, Nicola was left on the floor, alone, with no one around to help her. However, one person did stop and apology to Nicola, with her only able to see her trainers.

And during Thursday night's edition of Emmerdale, Nicola came face to face with Naomi for the first time as she got a job in the cafe. As they sat down to get to know each other a bit better, Nicola saw her gold pumps and instantly suffered flashback to the day of her awful attack.

Nicola began to panic and broke down in tears after recognising Naomi's shoes and her voice as being that of the girl who apologised to her following the beating. Nicola ended up confronting Naomi who prented not to know anything and suggested she was crazy. Her dad, Charles Anderson, also paid Nicola a visit and tried to convince her she was wrong.

After doubting herself, Nicola decided to tell the police and they later showed up at the house. She refused to voluntarily accompany them to the station and she ended up being arrested. She was later released with no evidence to charge her and Charles was relieved when she arrived at the pub.

However, she later admitted to him that she was there on the night of the attack as her dad angrily tried went to confront Nicola and her husband Jimmy. "I was there! That day I was there," she blurted out to the vicar. But before saying any more, she ran off. But viewers found themselves distracted by Charles' behaviour as he confronted Nicola.

@pinkapril2 said: "He doesn't act like a vicar....he gets angry and wants to fight." Charlotte Grady wrote on Facebook: "What sort of vicar is he, he's always having a go about something, nasty piece of work, who'd go to him for advice." Jo Silverstein-Stenhouse complained: "That's no way for a man of the cloth to behave. What a twisted story line."

@ifeelflames tweeted: "I think Charles could just be the worst Vicar #Emmerdale has ever had, and given Harriet covered up a murder and Ashley beat his father…thanks QUITE an achievement." @Ockeghem1497 added: "Charles used to be a nice guy. Now #Emmerdale 's turned him into a weirdly aggro vicar.."
