Emmerdale fans think they have figured out who is hiding out in Rishi Sharma's house after he appeared to sense an intruder. During scenes aired on the ITV soap on Monday night (March 6), viewers saw the character, played by Bhasker Patel, return home after visiting his daughter, Priya, in London.
The dad-of-three was distraught back in January when the wedding planner left the village with her daughter, Amba, who she shares with David Metcalfe, after landing a new job. Back in his big house alone, Rishi seemed slightly deflated but his upset over leaving Priya and Amba.
However, this soon turned to slight confusion and later fear as he started to notice things had been moved from their usual place, such as coasters and tea and coffee jars. He asked his son Jai if he has been staying at the house, to which he claimed he hadn't but it didn't stop his suspicion.
"Is it me, or something feels different in here," Rishi said before he again asked Jai: "Are you sure someone hasn't been in here?" To which Jai replied: "Just me, collecting the post and keeping an eye on the place, why?" Repeating his earlier statement, Rishi said: "I don't know. Something feels different here."
Feeling unnerved after hearing a bump from upstairs, Rishi called Jai and asked if he and his girlfriend Laurel fancied a meal out at The Woolpack with the kids. He wasted no time in dashing out of Holdgate Farm but as he turned back, he spotted a shadow lurking in the window.
After watching the episode, Emmerdale fans have quite an out-there theory about who they think it could be - but it is soapland and anything can happen.

@TwellyWatcher added: "I would love for Rishi’s intruder to be the one and only Meena!! Oh that would be brilliant but it’s not gonna happen. ALTHOUGH If I was to guess I’d probably say Marshall (hiding from his dad who kicked him out maybe) Still want Meena back though."
While @29JHall spotted a problem: "Soooo Rishi KNOWS there's someone in his house, but instead of seeing who it is, or even calling the police he goes to the pub for something to eat #Emmerdale."
