ITV Emmerdale fans in tears as beloved character's funeral is planned

Emmerdale fans were left crying during Tuesday's episode as funeral details were revealed.

This week's second instalment of the long-running ITV soap continued to explore Faith Dingle's battle with cancer. Faith is dying and her health has taken a turn for the worse.

Faith slipped up on Friday's episode as she revealed to Moira Dingle she was considering taking her own life as the disease starts to take a toll. Faith's children, Cain and Chas, remain in the dark about her plans.

The latest episode saw Faith planning her own funeral with long-term pal Eric. She told him she had left notes for a eulogy she would like him to deliver at the service.

Explaining she didn't trust him, Faith said: "I've left them with Bear, in a sealed envelope". When Eric asked why she had left the notes with Bear, Faith said: "Because you're too much like me, you'll be wanting to take a peep to see if I've said anything nice about you".

Eric asked: "And have you?" but a smiling Faith refused to say. Fans were clearly moved by the scenes.

Taking to Twitter, Steph said: "In tears at this. Poor Faith, I don't want her to go". Jordan Phelps said: "Poor Faith [crying emojis]" and Tina said: "Faith's story is heartbreaking".

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
