ITV Emmerdale fans in agreement over Faith as they share joy over Pollard scenes

Emmerdale fans couldn't be more on the same page when it comes to Faith Dingle. Viewers of the ITV soap have been left devastated as they watch the much-loved character start to deteriorate following her terminal cancer diagnosis.

Earlier this year the character, played by Sally Dexter, was given the devastating news her cancer was back and that it was terminal. She has since endeavoured to make the most of the time she has left with no treatment, much to her daughter Chas' upset.

Faith has recently begun having seizures and has also been getting very confused about her everyday life, including who her family members are. Last week, the Dingle matriarch was seen refusing to be "babysat" by everyone and managed to ditch Chas by pretending her palliative care nurse was ill and couldn't make their arranged meeting.

However, Chas ended up walking in on the meeting, followed by brother Cain, and the family went on to discuss Faith's choices, including implementing a do-not-resuscitate order and appointing Cain to have lasting power of attorney.

As her son struggled with the forms he needed to fill in, he sat down with Faith to discuss her wishes. But Faith soon suffered a bad turn, spilling boiling water all over her arm. And in heartbreaking scenes, when Cain rushed over to help, she picked up a frying pan seemingly in order to protect herself, believing him to be her abusive ex-husband Shadrach, who died in 2010.

They've kept the reality of the situation a secret from their family and as viewers saw during Tuesday night's trip to the Dales (September 20), Faith is still trying to live her life to the full. Faith was disappointed when Eric Pollard said he was going to cancel their golf trip due to a big lunch booking at the B&B.

However, she played on his conscience and Faith was soon seen having the time of her life when she arrived on the back in the village on the back of a golf cart being driven by a drunken Eric. And it was clear they had been up to no good as branches and leaves covered the vehicle usually saved for the golf course.

Outside the cafe, Eric's partner Brenda Walker was stunned as she saw them and was quick to give her man a dressing down before he and Faith scurried off back to the pub, leaving their transport home abandoned in the road.

Emmerdale fans were quick to share their joy over the scenes but they were equally sad knowing what is to come and were in very firm agreement.
