Emmerdale fans have said they are 'glad' Aaron Dingle ended up seeing his mum Chas as she cosied up to Al Chapman. As fans of the ITV soap know, Chas and former enemy Al have been secretly having an affair for months as she looks for comfort elsewhere during her mum's terminal cancer battle.
The pair have been stealing telling looks and sneaking off away with each other behind the backs of Paddy Kirk and Kerry Wyatt much to viewers' dismay. However, things don't stay secret in soap's for long and during Thursday night's trip to the Dales, it was Chas' son Aaron who spotted the pair up to no good.
During the hour-long episode Al, who has been looking at a house for him and Chas to run away to, told his secret partner that he was going to end things with Kerry. However, he was left shocked when Kerry proposed to him in middle of The Woolpack. Under pressure, he accepted but he and Chas later met up.
He said he was still committed to her and the pair shared another illicit kiss but as they did, they were caught by a disgusted Aaron who stormed off. Back at The Woolpack, Aaron was furious with his mum who claimed how she was struggling to keep it all together, running the pub, looking after daughter Eve and caring for her mum.
She said Al was there for her but Aaron reminded her about her husband Paddy, who he sees as his dad. Chas said that he wasn’t there at there for her at the time saying he was either working, helping with Marlon or at a veterinary conference. And as Aaron argued he was trying to provide for his family, she said she felt alone looking after Eve and Faith, and that Al was a release for her.
While Emmerdale viewers were furious with Chas' excuses, they shared their delight at Aaron catching them out. @BovaryCee tweeted: "Aaron ripping into Chas is what we needed on this Thursday night. He told her every which way that she messed up. #Emmerdale." @ifeelflames wrote: "Aaron telling Chas everything the nation has been yelling at their tv screens for weeks #emmerdale."

But fans already think they know what Chas will do. @ jean4381 saod: " Great Aaron is back and I'm glad he's the one who caught her but I'm not sure she'll give Al up." @sharonwells92 shared: "Aaron is only back for a bit so I’m guessing she chooses Al hope they both clear off,it’s the most unconvincing affair I’ve ever seen." @remsterldn_97 commented: "Chas Dingle Will Choose Al Champman."
