Emmerdale fans think they know Samson Dingle's fate after it appeared to be confirmed that he's gone missing in the storm. The natural disaster hit the Yorkshire village earlier this week as part of the ITV soap's 50th anniversary.
Fans have been left heartbroken following two death as a result of the windstorm with both Harriet Finch and Liv Dingle becoming victims of the adverse weather. Police officer Harriet succumbed to injuries after being flung down a ravine and crushed by the quad bike she was riding in the woods. After being found by Kim Tate, the bike was struck by a lightning bolt and the explosion caught Harriet in its wake.
Meanwhile, Liv lost her life after she was unable to be saved from being crushed underneath Sam and Lydia Dingle's caravan. Liv and her husband Vinny had been trying to make their way to the Woolpack when the wind blew the vehicle in their direction. While Vinny survived, Liv was stuck and the emergency services were unable to free her from the wreckage and she died with Vinny by her side outside David Metcalfe's shop.
Earlier this week there were also fears for Sam after a cow stampede led to him being impaled on a piece of farming machinery. Spooked by the weather, the farm animals got out of their pen and chased Sam and Nate Robinson. While Nate was trampled, Sam managed to get away but as he dived over a stack of hay bales, he fell onto the farming equipment and was spiked.
Nate and Sam's sister Belle managed to free him and get him to the hospital where he underwent extensive surgery. But during Thursday night's trop to the Dales, viewers discovered that Sam was very lucky and will make a full recovery. But back at home, Belle realised Sam's son Samson hadn't been home but didn't seem too concerned, simply sending him a text.
But in another scene, Samson was nowhere to be seen as his smashed-up phone on the ground lit up to show Belle's message. And while there was no other sign of him throughout the hour-long episode, Emmerdale fans think they might know the truth of what's happened and have predicted the teen's fate - just as Amelia Spencer gave birth to his daughter.
@adjalf1 tweeted: "Samson will be dead and then it will come out that hes not the actual dad of Amelias baby #Emmerdale." @BCFCD7 posted: "I reckon Samson got hit and dead. If he has now it all makes sense how he's acted towards everyone #Emmerdale." @memesEmmerdale simply wrote: "SAMSON! DEAD #Emmerdale."
@whatjaynereads said: "Ofc Samson is dead. Why didn't we realise. #emmerdale." @BearRowls commented: "I wonder if Samson is dead she will call the baby Sammy or Samantha to follow the trend? #emmerdale."
Predictions around his death comes after some foreshadowing by the ITV soap. Sam had a go at his son over his recent behaviour, including not visiting the pub to pay his respects to late family member Faith Dingle, after her death last week and also his reaction to Amelia's pregnancy. Sam told the teen that he was ashamed of him, and that his late mother Alice would be too, and the teen stormed off just as the stormy weather began to pick up.
