It's not just Charity Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd's wedding on the cards as Emmerdale's boss Jane Hudson has revealed that there will be another big day this summer. But whose could it be?
Fans have recently seen Gabby Thomas get engaged to Home Farm's nanny Nicky. But viewers of the ITV soap already know this will end in heartbreak for the single mum as Nicky isn't even interested in her and has just been planted within the family by his dad, Caleb Milligan, who is hellbent on getting his hands on Kim Tate's empire after it was revealed his dad was her former husband Frank Tate.
But Jane hasn't confirmed if it will be Gabby and Nicky's wedding that will air. Speaking to press including the Mirror and the Metro, executive producer Jane said: "You all know we love a summer wedding. You’re just about to watch a brilliant wedding [with Charity and Mack], but I can tell you there is another wedding – at least one – coming up before we get to the end of summer."

She then said: "I won’t tell you whom," before revealing that fans will also be welcoming a familiar face back to the Dales very soon. "And we’ll be having a familiar face returning before the end of summer. I think the audience will be absolutely delighted when this familiar face makes a return to the show," she told the outlets.
"They’ll be in the show, hopefully, for the foreseeable." But another return has also been confirmed - and it's a blast from the past for the remaining King family member Jimmy.
Tom King Jr is returning to the village in an unexpected comeback 10 years after he jetted off for Saudi Arabia in 2013. Then known as Thomas, he had planned to flee with his girlfriend Belle Dingle after he was embroiled in a vicious stalking storyline with her aunt, Chas Dingle - although he ultimately left her behind.
"Jimmy's nephew Tom will be coming back into the show and he has been living overseas for some time," Jane revealed. "He's back in England and is qualified as a vet, so I think we all know where he is gonna be working. Tom and Belle have a history, they see each other and rekindle things and we will be on a journey with Tom and Belle for some time as we play out stories for them."
Also teasing the big soap week later in the year, Jane spilled: "Traditionally it has stunt in it but we are at the very early stages [of planning]. It will be brilliant because it always is."
