ITV Dancing On Ice viewers make same complaint about show moments into the first episode of the new series

The new line-up of celebs with their professional skating partners took to the ice for the first time on the 15th series of the ITV celeb skating competition.

Sunday night's show kicked off with a group routine to Whitney Houston's classic eighties hit I Wanna Dance With Somebody. While the bright and colourful routine was visually impressive, many viewers at home had the same criticism and flocked to Twitter to have their say.

Fans grumbled that the "screaming" from the audience was distracting them from their viewing. @gspvfc complained: "I couldn't watch. Too much screaming. Like kids at a soft play #headache #DancingOnIce."

The screaming crowds are awful. Why do they allow it? Now I remember why I never watch a full series!"

One viewers tweeted about a "headache" (ITV)

@davidbwilson58 echoed: "Just remembered why I didn't watch last series of Dancing On Ice .Too much screaming from the audience." @fx550Mike asked: "Why does #dancingonice #DancingOnIce have to be so shouty? Screaming audience."

@MikeJohnson2174 said: "Here we go with The Hideous 'FAKE' SCREAMING THAT IS SO IRRITATING.'" @Noahs_nan wanted to know: "Really do we need to have all the screaming and shrieking?" And @13Atomic asked: "Oh why the need for so much screaming!!!"

Tonight's show saw the first six celebrities take to the ice for the first time. TOWIE star Joey Essex, EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer, The Wanted singer Siva Kaneswaran, Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton, Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson all competed for the first time.

Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher, ex Hollyoaks actress Carly Stenson, Drag Race UK winner The Vivienne and comedian Darren Herriott and former footballer John Fashanu will skate next Sunday.
