ITV Dancing on Ice viewers are saying the same thing about Stephen Mulhern

Stephen Mulhern stepping in as co-host of Dancing on Ice has started quite the discussion among viewers.

Phillip Schofield usually presents the ice-skating competition every Sunday night alongside his This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby. But on Sunday night viewers saw Stephen Mulhern take his place, as Phil has been forced to pull out of the show.

Schofield has been absent from This Morning for the last week after testing positive for coronavirus. It is the first time in twenty years Stephen and Holly have presented together since their days on children's television. And the pair's reunion has many viewers thinking the same thing.

"Can we keep Stephen Mulhern? Better than Phillip boring Schofield," said Martin Clarke on Twitter, while Jennie Wilks said: "I'm voting to eliminate Phillip Schofield and keep Stephen Mulhern!"

Rob Davies wrote: "To the Dancing on Ice producers: Time to get rid of Phil and put Stephen on every week please", while June White wrote: "Please keep Stephen Mulhern, he's so much better than Phil. Even Holly looks like she's enjoying herself."

"I'm loving Stephen's fun and energy on tonight's Dancing On Ice," said FanofTV, while Twitter user Surviving 2022 said: "Holly tonight was literally the woman who has got away from her annoying husband finally for a few hours to let her hair down with her best mate."

Speaking about Phil's absence tonight a spokesperson for Dancing on Ice said: "This Sunday's episode of Dancing on Ice will be hosted by Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern while Phillip Schofield continues to self-isolate."

Stephen Mulhern said: "I'm very much looking forward to being back hosting alongside my good friend Holly this weekend. It's big shoes to fill and I'm wishing Phillip a speedy recovery. I'm a big fan of Dancing on Ice and for one night only I'm thrilled to be rink side watching the action unfold. It's going to be unbelievable!"
