ITV Dancing on Ice's Siva posts about being 'lonely' in training and away from home

The Wanted band member Siva Kaneswaran is taking part in the 2023 series of Dancing on Ice, you can read everything you need to know about the show here, and has spoken about the loneliness he has faced in training. Siva is partnered with Klabera Komini and will be performing in the first episode of the new series.

Posting a video of himself and his dog on his Instagram Siva said being away from home "is a challenge" and spoke about feelings of loneliness. He also said he was "so grateful" to be taking part in Dancing on Ice.

He said: "Oh my heart. Being away from home is a challenge in itself. Loneliness can affect my mental health but I am so grateful for the opportunity to show up for myself, my family and my community. I only wish they allowed dogs to watch the live show Miss Lola and Mylo so much".

The celebrities have been in training with their professional dance and skating partners preparing to take to the ice and impress the judges for the new series which begins on Sunday, January 14 at 6.30pm on ITV1. Siva is in the band The Wanted and has also spoken about losing his bandmate Tom Parker.

Tom was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour and passed away in 2022. Since his death his widow Kelsey Parker released a documentary, Kelsey Parker: Life After Tom, which Siva featured in.

In the documentary, Siva describes the moment when he is sitting in the hospital and Kelsey's mum tells them all that Tom has passed away. He said: "Well, to be honest, on the day I was a mess. When your mam came in this door and said it I was a mess."
