Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver has apologised to her 'husbands' as she enjoyed a reunion with one of her newer pals. The actress, who is best known for playing Eileen Grimshaw in the ITV soap, was back cosying up to Mike Tindall after they became the 'mum and dad' of the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here jungle.
The soap favourite, 59, and the royal rugby star, 44, became close friends when they both headed off Down Under to take part in the ITV reality show back in November last year.
After their stint in the jungle, which saw Mike make it to the final four and Sue be the third voted out, the pair reunited with their families and got to introduce one another to each other's respective husband and wife.
Taking to Instagram with snaps from the I'm A Celeb wrap party, Sue could be seen posing for a photo with Zara Tindall, the granddaughter of the late Queen and niece to the new King. And her former on-screen son Ryan Thomas, who played Jason Grimshaw in Corrie, replied in the comments: "Look like sisters."
But it appears it was just Mike and Sue this time as they reunited for a catch-up on Friday (February 3). The pair could be seen beaming in a selfie which Sue posted to her Instagram page. "Gorgeous sneaky lunch with one of my husbands," she captioned the post.
She then jokingly added: "Sorry to my other ones, your time will come #junglehusband #junglehubby @mike_tindall12 #imaceleb," alongside a string of crying laughing emojis and red hears.
Fellow former campmate Charlene White was quick to reply, writing: "Love this." alongside multiple red hearts. And fans were soon commenting too. @elaine_6565 joked: "Well at least you are out in the open and not hiding your jungle husband. Enjoy your lunch."
@chezya_6 commented: "Good to see you both staying in touch outside of the jungle. Everyone says they will but they probably don't. It's a great picture." @kerrysuzanne14 replied: "This picture is everything." @angela592009 added: "Love your friendship it's beautiful to see blossom."
The reunion comes after Sue revealed her career away from appearing in Corrie as Eileen, a role she has held for more than 23 years. Speaking in the new edition of Prima magazine, she said: "It might surprise people to know that I’m also a trained psychotherapist.
"It all started when I had therapy myself 10 years ago and it transformed my life. I developed a fascination with it. It was my therapist who said, ‘I think you should train – you’d be good at this.’ I studied for three years, but I had to defer my fourth year as it coincided with Corrie’s Pat Phelan storyline [which saw Eileen marry the soap villain].
"There was no way I could do my job and also write my thesis at the same time. I’m officially allowed to practise as a psychotherapist now, but I’d still love to go back and complete my fourth year one day.”
