ITV Corrie's Summer Spellman looks stunning as she celebrates her birthday with co-stars

Her teen character Summer Spellman is going through a tough time on Coronation Street. But soap star Harriet Bibby let her hair down for some birthday fun with her co-stars in Manchester.

The star celebrated her 24th birthday with her co-stars Elle Mulvaney, who plays her best friend Amy Barlow, and Jack James Ryan who plays Amy's boyfriend Jacob Hay in Corrie. The stars were joined by Harriet's sister and fellow actor Emily Wynne as they tagged in 42nd Street Nightclub and Revolution at Deansgate Locks.

Harriet shared photos from her birthday night out with her nearest and dearest with the caption "Donna and the Dynamos" in a nod to the close bunch of friends in the musical Mamma Mia. And she looked stunning as she posed in a blue and green skorts and matching cropped top with chunky beige boots.

Harriet wore her blonde tresses in loose curls. And she added citrus green nail polish to match her floral coords. "My birthday princess," wrote Jack as he shared a photo of the pair together as they pouted for the camera.

the_proper_cheynebarry commented: "Stunning." allforcorrie said: "Getting all of the mamma mia vibes rn." And nancyhovhanesian said: "Beautiful."

Elle, 19, wore a pretty black and white floral jumpsuit with cream trainers for the occasion. And Kate Ford who plays her on-screen mum Tracy commented proudly: "My daughter is so beautiful."

Harriet, from Wigan landed a dream job in her favourite soap playing Summer, the adopted daughter of Billy Mayhew, in 2020. At the time she was 22 and Summer was 16. The role was recast after Matilda Freeman, who was the same age as the character, decided to leave the soap.

Harriet told us: "It doesn't feel that bizarre. I still feel like a kid and I do have a baby face, and she's had a difficult past which has made her more mature." She added: "I've always had to have ID on me and I'll have to carry it with me even more now."

Last week studious Summer was forced to confront her secret eating disorder after Amy raised concerns with Billy. Corrie fans have seen Summer overwhelmed with stress revising for her exams while battling with bulimia and managing her type one diabetes.

A worried Amy recently caught Summer throwing up after eating and she told Billy. Billy has since been keeping an eye on Summer and in Friday night's episode he told her he'd arranged for Summer to attend a diabetes support group and that her revision could wait.

Summer reluctantly went along to the group and met Aaron, a fellow diabetic. Fans were left wondering if this could be the start of a new romance for Summer and the friendly newcomer.

@bredrew2 said: "I wouldn't mind Aaron & Summer as a potential couple." And @allforcorrie wrote: "Another great performance from @HarrietBibby. So happy Summer is getting the help she needs and is making new friends that can support her."

@FLady1980 tweeted: "Corrie aww Summer, he seems nice." @RyanGTweetsTV commented: "Summer's new friend seems nice."

@Iongwayoff said: "Praying this guy Summer likes isn’t dodgy." And @moore95_pamela wrote: "Aaron is a lovely young man. Looks like Summer may finally stop moping and take her diabetes seriously."
