Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon appears to be wanting her husband to join her on the cobbles as she tipped him as being a soap 'hunk'. Sylvain Longchambon is currently gearing up for his return to Dancing on Ice on Sunday.
It was announced back in October that the ice skater would be returning three years after last skating on the ITV show. It was also revealed that Vicky Ogden and Klabera Komini, who both last skated in the 2021 series, would be making a comeback with Klabera making her return with The Wanted star Siva Kaneswaran during the show's opening episode on January 15.
But Sylvain will perform for the first time with his partner this Sunday (January 22) and his celebrity partner is very familiar to Samia, who stars in Corrie as Maria Windass, as it's her co-star Mollie Gallagher. And the pair appear to be getting on like a house on fire with Mollie, who plays Nina Lucas in the ITV soap.
Taking to Instagram on Friday (January 20), Mollie shared a brilliant TikTok video of the pair picking up on a previously viral trend which sees two people don robes and hair towels while lipsyncing to Abba track Angeleyes but being sung by Mamma Mia stars Julie Walters and Christine Baranski who star as Rosie and Tanya in the hit film.
Mollie and Sylvain could be seen in their dressing room, equipped with dressing gowns and hair towels and both in sunglasses. And the pair got very much into their roles, perfectly recreating the scene. Revealing the reason for the video, the soap star said: "So on Sunday me and @slongchambon will be skating to… Angel eyes- ABBA."
She then added: "lol enjoy xoxox. Sylvain the show stealer wow xxxxx. Team mol&syl. Team guacamollie&&sillyconcarne." Corrie star Jack P Shepherd was clearly intrigued as he asked the pair: "How long did this take to perfect?" Dancing on Ice co-star The Vivienne also said: "Omg I love this."
Samia was also quick to reply, writing: "Too funny!!" But she was clearly impressed as she shared the video to her own Instagram Story. She wrote: "What a natural @slongchambon." The 40-year-old soap star then added: "Next Corrie hunk maybe...?" Samia also showed her support for the pair as she followed up by writing: "Can't wait for Sunday!"
The first show of the 2023 sereis, which is hosted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, saw former EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer, Love Island winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu, Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson, The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran, reality star Joey Essex and Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton all took to the ice first.
Viewers did get a brief taste of the whole group in action with a spectacular opening routine with the show's professional skaters. However, it won't be until this Sunday that fans get to see how Mollie, drag queen The Vivienne, comedian Darren Harriott, and West End star and former Hollyoaks actress Carley Stenson fare on the ice.
