Former Corrie villain Rebecca Ryan looked a world away from the Coronation Street cobbles as she enjoyed the sunshine on her honeymoon. The newlywed actress looked stunning as she posed on the sand in a dreamy beach location.

Rebecca, who played Adam Barlow's stalker Lydia Chambers in Corrie, was all smiles in snaps shared on her Instagram. "Honeymooning,"she captioned a picture of herself in a pretty blue patterned dress wih her dark brunette locls cascading over her shoulers.

Another snap showed her in a similar spot by the sea in a sleek black dress with cut-out detail around the bust. "Lady in black," she captioned the photo. Gouldberg85 exclaimed: "Absolutely beautiful!"

The 31-year-old Manchester actress looked stunning in her white Vera Wang gown accessorised with a large pearl headband. The soap beauty said 'I do' at Grangefields in Ashbourne, Derbyshire.

"The most magical day!" she exclaimed as she posted a photo of her sensational bridal look on her Instagram. With a picture of the newlyweds holding hands she said: "I will never be over this day! Truly the most amazing day of my life!!"

She captioned another post: “Husband and wife. 24.09.22 – The best day of our lives.” Former Shameless star Rebecca was inundated with congratulations and compliments from her fellow Corrie stars.

Mollie Gallagher, who plays Nina Lucas, wrote: “Awww congratulations.” Harriet Bibby, who plays Summer Spellman, wrote: “The most beautiful bride.” And Sally, who plays Abi Webster, also added: “Oh my darling, you look so beautiful! Congratulations!”

Rebecca shot to fame playing Debbie Gallagher in the gritty Manchester drama Shameless from 2004. She also played pupil Vicki MacDonald in the BBC One school drama series Waterloo Road, based in Rochdale, from 2009 to 2011.

Her twisted character Lydia was part of an explosive drama on Corrie, embroiled in a stalker storyline with Adam Barlow and his wife Sarah Platt. The gripping story, which kicked off at the end of last year, led to a horror accident that left solicitor Adam at risk of losing his sight.

Lydia started stalking Adam after she befriended his wife Sarah and plotted to wreck their marriage. It turned out that she was acting in revenge for how badly the womaniser treated her when they dated in their university days.

In a terrifying showdown at a shopping centre in March, Lydia gave Adam a hard shove during a confrontation. Adam was knocked unconscious after plunging over the railings.

Doctors told his family he had suffered a bleed behind the eye and needed surgery. And as he came round from surgery they were relieved to be told that Sarah had come to visit him after threatening divorce.

But his visitor turned out to be a repentant Lydia, who was there to apologise for her behaviour. After she was caught at Adam's bedside by his estranged wife, Lydia confessed to tormenting Adam, trashing her own flat and setting it up to look like they had been having an affair. And Sarah called the police.

Then came a twist as Adam left his hospital bed and headed to the police station to make sure Lydia was freed. And after putting his legal skills to good use he and Lydia called a truce.
