Coronation Street favourites left the cobbles behind as they headed across MediaCityUK in Salford for a night at the theatre. Elle Mulvaney, who plays the soap's Amy Barlow, was among the cast hitting the red carpet at The Lowry.
The 19-year-old star from Bury looked pretty in pink in a bubblegum coloured tank top and khaki trousers, teamed with a light blue cropped denim jacket. She showcased her bronze glow from a recent cruise trip, taking in the sights of Gibraltar, Pisa in Italy, Marseille in France and Barcelona along the way with her new shorter hairstyle and honeyed tresses.
She completed her glam look, which was a far cry from the Weatherfield cobbles, with a slick of peachy lipgloss. Elle, who has played feisty Amy the daughter of Steve and Tracy McDonald, was all smiles as she posed at the press night of Identical, a new musical based on Erich Kästner’s novel The Parent Trap.

It tells the story of twin girls separated at birth and reunited by chance at a summer camp 10 years later. To get to know their parents and reconcile the two halves of their family, they decide to swap places and live each other’s lives.
Best known for the popular Disney movies which made stars of Hayley Mills in 1961 and Lindsay Lohan in 1998, this world premiere is directed by Trevor Nunn responsible for some of the world’s greatest musicals including Les Misérables, Starlight Express, Cats and Sunset Boulevard.
Also heading over from the Corrie set at Trafford Wharf, just a stone's throw away from the theatre, was Jack James Ryan who plays Amy's boyfriend Jacob Hay in the ITV soap. Jack made his debut in 2020 as his character befriended Amy's cousin Simon Barlow into a drugs gang.
Last year he returned to the street as a reformed character and struck up a relationship with Amy. Their romance didn't come without disapproval from Simon, his mum Leanne, who was also roped into the gang run by drugs lord Harvey Gaskell, and Amy's parents.
But the pair have managed to turn opinions around and their relationship appears to be going well. Off screen Elle and Jack are regularly seen out together, posing for photos on social media alongside their Corrie co-stars Harriet Bibby and James Craven, who plays Summer Spellman and her new boyfriend Aaron.
And recently Jack addressed rumours that he and Elle are dating in real-life. The soap star was taking part in a Q&A with his Instagram followers when he was asked: "Are you an Elle dating?" In response, he shared a photo of the pair from filming Amy's horror spiking scenes earlier this year before writing: "She wishes!" While he was joking, he did add: "Nah, it’s all jokes. We’re just really good friends. Elle is like a sister to me."
He also used the opportunity to ask fans to vote for the popular pair as they're up for 'Best Romance' at this year's Inside Soap Awards and he went on to answer more questions. "Best mate at Corrie?" another follower asked to which Jack replied: "These 3 losers," posting a picture of Jack, Elle, Harriet, and James posing in front of a pretty flower wall at a recent festival.
But James wasn't having it, reposting Jack's post and correcting 'losers' to 'legends'. Harriet also got in on the action, with Jack calling her out for asking: "Who is your best mate and why is it me?" He replied: "@harrietanneb is indeed a beg..."
He made the jokey comment alongside a picture of Harriet and Elle smiling while out for a slap-up dinner. "The only time the girls smile at me like this is when I give them food @ellejmulvaney."
At The Lowry Jack was all smiles as he posed with fellow young cast member Mollie Gallagher who has been highly praised for her portrayal of goth Nina Lucas, who was left grief-stricken by the murder of her boyfriend Seb Franklin in a sickening hate attack by a gang of yobs last year. The goth character, the niece of cafe owner Roy Cropper, was quickly taken to the hearts of Corrie fans when she made her debut in 2019.
Faye Brookes, who played Kate Connor in the soap and has recently been touring the UK in Chicago the musicial as the iconic Roxie Hart, dazzled in a sparkling sleeveless back top and elegant wide-legged trousers. And the Dancing On Ice 2021 contestant looked on good form after recently revealing the sad news that she had split from her personal trainer partner Joe Davies as she smiled for the camera.
She told her social media followers last month that she and Joe had decided to go their separate ways. But the star from Flixton said their friendship remains 'stonger than ever'.'
"Just wanted to say that, very sadly, after nearly three years Joe and I have decided to go our separate ways. We had the most wonderful of times, and our mutual respect, admiration and friendship remains stronger than ever," she tweeted.
Jack P Shepherd, who plays David Platt in Corrie, took a break from the TV troubles of the dysfunctional Platt family as he cut a stylish figure in a pristine white T-shirt with black jeans and chain detail. And Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally Metcalfe, looked summery in a pretty white lace blouse and wide-legged blue jeans.
