ITV Corrie fans horrified by pre-watershed sex scenes in the soap

The Coronation Street cobbles caused blushes on Monday night as Fiz and Tyrone got reacquainted. Bride Fiz didn't waste any time after she cruelly ditched Phill Whittaker on their wedding day for her ex.

After declaring her feelings for Tyrone the reunited couple spent the night together. But there were awkward scenes in the ITV soap as Phill unexpectedly turned up at 9 Coronation Street and interrupted them.

After Tyrone headed for the door before he could be seen Phill begged Fiz for another chance. And he told her if she was back with Tyrone there was no way that he could cope with that betrayal.

He then pulled out all the stops by springing a surprise romantic meal with a mariachi band. But Fiz, who had planned to go on a date with Tyrone, was not impressed.

In the Rovers Return Phill confided in Tyrone, who had been sworn to secrecy by Fiz about their reunion, and asked him to be his wingman while wooing his wife back. But back at number 9 Tyrone propositioned Fiz while his gran and the children were out.

And when she protested at first he told her: "Of course we can. I'm only talking about a quickie." "Is there any other kind?" she asked coyly as the pair headed upstairs.

@PJDavies1962 tweeted: "Tonight's episode of #Corrie is sponsored by pornhub." @Willswhinge grumbled: "Tyrone and Fiz having a quicky makes me feel more sick than all of Tim and Sally's attempts at a s*** put together." And Clawmaw exclaimed: "Nobody wants to hear that Tyrone and Fiz are going to have a quickie!!!"

Later, back in the Rovers, the double entendres were flyng as Phill asked Tyrone how he had got on in convincing Fiz to go back to him. "Did you go to bat for me?" he asked an uncomfortable Tyrone. "I did do that," Ty replied awkwardly.

"And you really pounded it home?" Phill pressed him. And he told Tyrone: "I want a blow by blow account." Dee_Cee95x asked: "Phil playing Innuendo bingo with Tyrone?"

@Bob71136804 said: "That should have come with one of those warnings." And @margaretb2010 remarked with laughing faces: "The innuendos on @itvcorrie."

Elsewhere on the cobbles Corrie viewers felt queasy as Sally and Tim Metcalfe celebrated her birthday by frolicking in the hot tub. And, after being advised by a sex therapist to resist sexual contact for now after experiencing problems in the bedroom, Tim announced that he could feel a stirring down below.

Sally reckoned it was the best birthday surprise she could wish for but viewers were horrified. @perfectmanda begged: "Omg please don't." And @janwilkins59 complained: "OFGS, can't we just leave Sally and Tim to it until they're sorted, these scenes are bucket needing now!*!"

@Ockeghem1497 joked: "Every time #corrie tells us more about Tim and Sally's sex life an angel loses its wings." And @mishybabez_ said: "This Sally and Tim sex storyline is cringing me out."
