Coronation Street star Millie Gibson has revealed her actual name to fans as she showed off a sweet gift from her brother for her birthday. The actress, who is best known for playing Kelly Neelan in the ITV soap, celebrated turning 18 over the weekend.
She marked the occasion with a birthday bash which was attended by several of her Corrie co-stars. The birthday girl herself looked stunning in a maxi red gown with a plunging neckline and ruffled detailing all the way down. She paired the look with a matching pair of heels and added a red lip to complete the daring look.
Sharing a look at her party, Millie, from Broadbottom, was seen posing next to a gold and nude balloon display. Millie sat in a chair and kicked her legs up in the air as she gazed at a big balloon that had been emblazoned with 'Happy 18th Millie'.
Millie's on-screen guardian Mikey North, who plays Gary Windass, and former on-screen foster parent Charlie De Melo, who recently exited the soap in dramatic fashion as Imran Habeeb and was sporting a brand new look, made sure to get in a photo with the birthday girl, smiling for the camera either side of their young co-star.
Craig Tinker actor Colson Smith, Paddy Bever, who plays Max Turner in Corrie, Bill Fellows, who helped Kelly as Stu Carpenter, and soap icon Jimmi Harkishin, aka Dev Alahan, also made an appearance to help Millie celebrate her big birthday. And there was also a reunion as Millie was reunited with her on-screen mum Kel Allen, who exited the soap earlier this year in heartbreaking scenes.
While eyes may have been on the famous faces, Millie was also joined by her family and friends who keep out of the public eye. This included her brother, Morgan, who has since shown up to give Millie another birthday gift. Sharing a photo of what appears to be a photo album, her sibling could be seen grinning in the background.
However, it wouldn't take fans long to notice that there was a different name on the front of the personalised book. "Amelia Eve Gibson," it said alongside Millie's date of birthday, June 19 2004. She shared alongside the snap: "@_morgangibson7 belated birthday present," with a tearful emoji.
She then gave her followers a glimpse inside, showing a photo of her as a toddler looking adorable as she blew out the candles on a birthday cake.
Millie joined Corrie as Kelly, the daughter of loan shark Rick who was killed by Gary, back in 2019. But the last year, in particular, has been a big one for the teen having been part of the shocking hate crime storyline, inspired by the tragic story of goth Sophie Lancaster who was killed in 2007, which saw Kelly finding herself charged with a murder she didn't commit before being cleared only to end up homeless.
More recently, the character found out about her dad's death days before her mum, Laura Neelan played by Kel Allen, also died after taking the wrap for husband Rick's murder. So with all that under her belt, it's no surprise the teen soap star took home the prize for Best Young Performer at this year's British Soap Awards earlier this month
