ITV Coronation Street's Tina O'Brien looks enthralled at Bongo's Bingo as she ends up 'trying to win her on-screen mum'

Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien looked worlds away from the cobbles as she partied at Bongo's Bingo. The actress, known for playing Sarah Barlow - nee Platt - in the ITV soap, was letting her hair down at the often raucous event which sees revelers play bingo for a whole host of prizes.

For those unfamiliar with the event, which hosts night's across the country, is a mash-up of traditional bingo, but with wacky prizes like 12 Disney Princesses, cardboard cut-outs of famous faces and also big cash prizes for winning the house. The game sits alongside an old-school rave where the audience is encouraged to dance on the tables and sing their hearts out.

But Bongo's Bingo got more than they bargained for when Tina appeared in the crowd as they gave away a cardboard cut-out of her on-screen mum Gail Platt, aka much-loved actress Helen Worth.

Taking to Instagram, the people behind the event's social media posted a video of the cardboard Gail being brought up on stage before panning to show Tina, 39, cheering and screaming as she stood on a bench. The soap star look gorgeous in a black vest top which she tucked into a denim belted skirt.

She then grabbed her phone to capture the moment, to send to her Corrie pals no doubt, as the cardboard was pushed in her face. She laughed and screamed along with her pals who saw the funny side.

Sharing the video to Instagram, the Bongo's Bingo caption read: " When you go for a quiet night at the bingo and end up playing for your (on-screen) mum x @tinaob83." Tina then shared the video to her Instagram Story and it clearly caught the eyes of some of her co-stars as they headed to the comments section.

Colson Smith, who stars in the ITV soap as Craig Tinker, and Helen Flanagan, who played Corrie's Rosie Webster, both commented with crying laughing emojis. Meanwhile, fans were quickly tagging their mates as they wanted to head to the next event to get their hands on Gail themselves.

@mariadanson commented: "@tinaob83 can’t believe it was your mother - brilliant." @kelly_beans7 laughed: "Sarah Louise tried to win Gail Platt." @chelsea_louise_92 said: "I need a life size cut out of Gail!" @richard_burrows wrote: "@h.barber22 You’d love to win a Gail."
