ITV Coronation Street's Summer Spellman star dubbed soap's own Kylie as she's seen with lookalike sister

Coronation Street star Harriet Bibby has been dubbed the soap's very own Kylie Minogue as she put on a dazzling display over the weekend. The actress, best known for playing Summer Spellman in the ITV soap, was joined by her fellow TV stars at the British Soap Awards over the weekend,

The stars of Corrie, Emmerdale, EastEnders, Hollyoaks, and Doctors were out in force as the glitzy bash returned after two years away due to the coronavirus pandemic. Phillip Schofield was once again back to host proceedings at the Hackney Empire where awards were handed out for villain of the year, newcomer, and outstanding achievement to name but a few.

It was a hat-trick for the long-running, Salford-based soap as Millie Gibson picked up the prize for Best Young Performer while Maximus Evans, who starred as Corey Brent, bagged Villain of the Year. Coronation Street writer Jan McVerry also picked up The Tony Warren Award, named in honour of the soap's legendary creator, for her achievements.

But as well as some awards being up for grabs, it was also a chance for soap worlds to collide and for plenty of glam as the actors and actresses donned their best outfits before letting their hair down.

And Harriet, who has been starring in Corrie since 2020, didn't disappoint as she opted for a balloon-sleeved mini dress that featured a starry pattern with every bit of fabric covered in sequins. The silver and black ensemble had been paired with a pair of black heels while Harriet's hair had been tied up into a voluminous high ponytail with her blonde tresses curled.

Posting a picture to her Instagram page, the soap star, 25, threw her hands up in the air and gave a peace sign to the camera as she posed. And the star memo spread as there was another photo of her smiling with Elle Mulvaney, who plays the soap's Amy Barlow.

And they didn't leave their fellow young castmates behind as the boys also looked dapper, with Jacob Hay actor Jack James Ryan going for a black, pin-striped suit and James Craven, who recently made his debut on the cobbles as Aaron, went for a snazzy royal blue blazer and matching trousers with white shirt.

But all eyes were on Harriet thanks to her showstopping look. "Gorgeous!!!" Sally Carman, who plays Abi Franklin, wrote underneath the string of images. Jack's sister Rebecca Ryan, who recently played Lydia Chambers in the ITV soap, commented: "What a superstar!!"

"Corrie’s very own Kylie," Toyah Habeeb star Georgia Taylor wrote while Hollyoaks star Niamh Blackshaw, who plays Juliet Nightingale on the Channel 4 soap and once had a brief role in Corrie, added: "So gorgeous and so lovely to see you!!!"

And fans were just as complimentary. @justinraff2021 said: "You look beautiful Harriet and I love your dress." @malindabennett3201 echoed: "Beautiful, love your dress." @oohlalexie replied: "You look incredible."

Harriet also posed alongside her lookalike sister. Nancy Bibby joined her at the star-studded bash and looked as stunning as her sibling in an eye-popping red dress with matching heels.

And Nancy appeared just as thrilled to be there, sharing a string of snaps to her own Instagram page as she posed with Harriet's co-star pals before taking her seat in the auditorium. There was also a bit of soap swapping as she siblings bagged a selfie with EastEnders legend Jessie Wallace, aka Kat Slater.
