Coronation Street star Millie Gibson looked as stunning as ever as she made a different kind of TV appearance today. Fans of the ITV soap have recently seen the teen locked in a cellar after her character Kelly Neelan got kidnapped by her dad's former clients.
The actress, who recently celebrated turning 18, appeared on ITV's Lorraine to chat to the show's host, and self-confessed Corrie fan Lorraine Kelly, about her current storyline. As the presenter and Corrie star watched a clip of Gary Windass taking a menacing phone call from Kelly's captor, Lorraine commented: "I have got a feeling he's gonna go the full Liam Neeson in Taken, don't you think?"
Millie agreed and replied: "It literally is that, isn't it? It's hard for Kelly to see him in that light because she's always seen him as the the person that she trusts, like a father figure. So I think it's gonna be difficult for her to see that redness take over him when he breaks through!" she teased.

Elsewhere in the chat, Millie gushed about her admiration for actress Jodie Comer. "For you as a young actress with everything ahead of you, is there somebody that you really think to yourself, 'that's the sort of career I would like?'" Lorraine asked. Millie quickly replied: "I love Jodie Comer. I'm obsessed with Jodie Comer. All of her work is just incredible and her career path is just very idealistic for me."
Talk also turned to her recent birthday celebrations. As Lorraine mentioned how she is still just a teen after celebrating her milestone birthday earlier this month, Millie joked: "I’m a woman, I’m fully grown now!" before recalling how her ‘first appearance’ on the soap when she was only 15.
The soap star, who was awarded best young performer at the British Soap Awards, was able to celebrate her birthday after lockdown with a party that was attended by a few of her current and former Corrie co-stars. "I was so glad, because I was one of those people that were lucky enough to have her 18th when lockdown was finally over," Millie said as Lorraine admired a photo of Millie posing in a firey red dress at her celebrations.
She then added while giggling: "First drink ever!" to which Lorraine quipped back: ‘Yeah right, I believe you... not!" Millie joked: "It tasted so good," before adding: "It was a lovely night!"
Millie, who was dressed for the scorching weather in a white floral summer dress featuring a though high split which she paired with white flip-flops and plenty of blue-themes jewellery, also spoke about her off-screen relationships with her Corrie co-stars as Tanisha Gorey joined her on her trip from Manchester to London.
The pair posted a selfie to Instagram on Tuesday evening (July 19) as they set off on their road trip to the capital. "4 hour road trip to London? Don't mind if we do @tanisha.gorey," Millie captioned the snap of the pair looking summery in strappy blue and pink dresses. "Especially when I'm really travel sick," Tanisha then added suggesting it might not be a plain sailing trip.
The co-stars did, however, arrive safely with them sharing a mirror selfie from their hotel room. "We made it," she said before they headed out for dinner. And Tanisha, who plays Asha Alahan in the ITV soap, was right by her friends side as she made her TV appearance, with the camera panning to show her in the wings looking cool in a white mini dress.
When Lorraine mentioned about Corrie being a 'family, she said: "And you've made some very good pals haven't you?" to which Millie replied: "I love everyone there. Most of my scenes are with the adult actors like Mikey North [Gary] and scenes with Georgia Taylor [Toyah Habeeb] and Charlie De Melo [Imran Habeeb]. I've worked with so many people."
"But I'm best friends with Tanisha," she added. "I love my Tanisha," she said as Lorraine commented: "And she's here today!" Before Lorraine asked about their plans for the rest of their day in London before heaving to head back to Manchester for work on the Salford-based soap.
"I think that's brilliant that you're such good pals," Lorraine remarked as Millie replied: "I know, she's great. We love each other to bits." She added: "It's great to meet someone on set that you really get on with. Even though we don't have many scenes together we still see each other all the time."
Tanisha and Millie also got to meet up with another of their co-stars as Mikey was also in London to appear on Loose Women. Following their TV appearances, the group met up for dinner with Millie taking a snap of the pair with fellow actor Brian Fletcher dining in the sun with Mikey seen raising a glass for the camera.
