ITV Coronation Street's Kirk Sutherland's bedroom confession leaves fans taken aback

Coronation Street fans were taken aback by Kirk Sutherland's explicit confession in tonight's show.

Monday's episode of the long-running soap continued to explore the character's relationship woes. Kirk stood up for his wife, Beth, after she was accused of hitting Hope Stape.

However, Kirk was horrified to find out Tyrone and Fiz's accusation was true at the end of tonight's dramatic episode. The marriage seems to be on the rocks as Kirk questioned if the two needed some time apart as he has lost all trust in her.

The lie was the latest problem to hit the married couple in a jam-packed episode. Kirk was jealous as Beth wistfully reminisced about her first love, Marco.

She said: "He was definitely a stallion." This prompted Kirk to shoot back: "Well, I'm a stallion."

Viewers following the show on Twitter were in hysterics after the exchange.

Louise said: "Kirk, no - you are not a stallion."

Gav added: "I have many adjectives for Kirky. ‘Stallion’ is not one of them"

Michelle posted: "Kirk calling himself a stallion"

Teena tweeted, alongside a laughing emoji: "Kirk “I’m a stallion”
