Coronation Street star Jude Riordan entertained himself in between filming before activating 'holiday mode'. The young actor is best known for playing Sam Blakeman on the ITV soap and not only is he celebrating jetting off on a summer break, he's also marked a wonderful milestone.
Earlier this week the soap star took to Instagram, which is run by his parents, to share a snap of himself behind-the-scenes at the Salford-based Corrie set. "Mind is on the cobbles. Heart is already on my lilo in Greece." Jude posed for a selfie, donning his character's space-inspired t-shirt, while throwing a peace sign at the camera and covering his face with an emoji face in sunglasses.
He than shared another snap of him playing hide and seek behind a bunch of bean bags. "Can you tell I'm on a break," he cheekily wrote across the snap.
But 11-year-old Jude was just having a bit of fun during his last days on the famous street before taking a break after finishing primary school and taking his SATs earlier in the year.
Sharing an update on Thursday night (August 18), Jude posted a photo to his Instagram Story of him looking ready for summer in denim shorts, a paintball-inspired t-shirt and a trilby hat. "Holiday Mode On," a gif read while another said 'Out of Office'. And his last day for a short while happened to come on an important day.
Posting a photo of his dressing room door which has his name penned on a sign and another image of him posing inside his dressing room, Jude penned: "Has to get a grid post every year! 2 years as Sam Blakemab. I hope you love him as much as I do." He then sweetly added: "What a day to spend my Corrieversary than with Granny Audrey. Lucky me."
The star's former on-screen mum Rachel Leskovac, who played Natasha Blakeman and who he made his debut alongside when meeting his dad Nick Tilsley, played by Ben Price, for the first time was the first to respond. She said: " 2 years!!! That’s flown," which led Jude to reply: " 2 years of having you in my life."
Jane Danson, who is famed for playing Leanne Battersby in the soap, also said; "2 years already!" with a red heart emoji. Jude said in response: "Time flies when having fun." And fans were also showing their support.
@tasha.field.levene said: "Check... mate! You are the sweetest kid to join Corrie and you are super talented. I hope you stay in the show for ages because no other actor could play Sam as well in a head swap storyline." @dottys.doodles commented: "The sweetest Corrie character ever! You do a fab job."
@holyroller411 wrote: "2 years already! Looking forward to seeing you for many more years." @_michellemcpherson shared: "Happy 2 year Corrieversary Jude. You're an absolute little star and a joy to watch. Here's to many more years." @duh_itzmiah_20 added: "Congratulations Jude can’t believe it’s been two years since you began playing Sam I’ve loved him and you since the beginning. Keep doing what you’re doing you’re just incredible."
