Coronation Street star Jack James Ryan has responded to questions he's dating his co-star. The actor is best known to viewers for playing Jacob Hay in the ITV soap. He made his debut in 2020 as his character befriended Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) into a drug gang.
However, after weeks of tormenting the teen and his mum, Leanne Battersby, it didn't end well for him with drug lord Harvey Gaskell seeing him off. But last year, he made a return to Weatherfield where he struck up a relationship with Amy Barlow. It didn't come without disapproval from Leanne, Amy's cousin Simon and her mum and dad, Steve and Tracy.
But the pair managed to turn their opinions around and their relationship appears to be going well, as far as soapland romances go. And off-screen, Jack and Elle Mulvaney, who has played Amy for 12 years, are just as close.

The pair are regularly seen out together, posing for photos on social media alongside their Corrie co-stars Harriet Bibby and James Craven, who plays Summer Spellman and her new boyfriend Aaron. However, it appears fans think there's more going on with Jack and Elle.
The soap star was taking part in a Q&A with his Instagram followers when he was asked: "Are you an Elle dating?" In response, he shared a photo of the pair from filming Amy's horror spiking scenes earlier this year before writing: "She wishes!" While he was joking, he did add: "Nah, it’s all jokes. We’re just really good friends. Elle is like a sister to me."
He also used the opportunity to ask fans to vote for the pair as they're up for 'Best Romance' at this year's Inside Soap Awards before answering more questions. "Best mate at Corrie?" another follower said to which Jack replied: "Thes 3 losers," posting a picture of him, Elle, Harriet, and James posing in front of a pretty flower wall at a recent festival.
But James wasn't having it, reposting Jack's post and correcting 'losers' to 'legends'. Harriet also got in on the action, with Jack calling her out for asking: "Who is your best mate and why is it me?" He replied: "@harrietanneb is indeed a beg..."
He made the jokey comment alongside a picture of Harriet and Elle smiling while out for a slap-up dinner. "The only time the girls smile at me like this is when I give them food @ellejmulvaney."
Last week, Harriet, Elle, Jack James, and James seemed to be closer than ever as they partied at the soap's summer bash. The cast and crew on the ITV programme were out in force for the annual do at Manchester celebrity haunt, The Ivy. Jack took to his Instagram Story to share a group shot of the soap stars from inside the bash, writing "Family photo,"
