Coronation Street fans couldn't stop laughing as they tuned into the latest hour-long edition of the ITV soap. It all started with Sally Metcalfe excitedly heading off for her night away in a fancy hotel with husband Tim.
However, her other half couldn't have wanted to go any less if he tried as he continued to struggle when it came to any sexual activity with his wife following his life-saving triple heart bypass in January after suffering a heart attack.
Viewers were left feeling a bit sick during the latest episode as after enjoying some spa treatments, the sex-mad couple headed to the bedroom. But before then, worried about how he'd perform in the bedroom, Tim ordered some pills offline. After rushing home to collect them from neighbour Gail Platt, claiming it was a gift for Sally, the taxi driver headed back to the hotel.

Then, as the pair passionately kissed back in their room after an afternoon in the spa, Tim became short of breath. Thinking it was his heart, Tim had to come clean to Sally about the tablet before he collapsed on the bed asking her to call an ambulance. The pair ended up at the hospital where Sally was forced to tell the doctor he had taken something to "put the snap back in his celery" leaving Tim mortified.
But he was given a clean bill of health with the doctor thinking he had a panic attack. Their night, however, was ruined and the pair headed back to Weatherfield where Tim blamed Sally for putting too much pressure on him and calling her 'sex mad'. Upset, she headed off to the Rovers where she had a drink with Gail.
And it was the pair's chat that left Corrie fans howling and praising the soap for bringing some comedy back. The two pals got very frank after Sally confided in Gail about husband Tim's impotence. But Gail appeared taken aback by Sally and Tim's inventive sex life which has since been failing her.
“I mean we had to give it a few weeks until we got the all clear from the doctor but then we got dead excited because we got the green light - but then nothing,” Sally, played by Sally Dynevor, explained. "We tried everything - massage, dirty talk, not filth, just sexy chat.
"And we ran a gamut of role play. Naughty nurse, estate agent, lucky burglar… I wouldn’t mind but nothing happened - it was like it had gone into hibernation." As Gail continued to listen, Sally then asked Gail if she had experienced it with her many, many husbands. Gail told her: “Not Brian or Martin - slowing them down was the problem. Joe was a bit hit and miss but I put that down to the anti-depressants.
"But Richard had a lot of trouble - he used to get very frustrated. I mean I did wonder if that was the root of all his problems." Sally then snapped back: “Thanks Gail. And there was me thinking the only thing I had to worry about was Tim’s heart. And now you’re suggesting he might go round murdering the neighbours."
Earlier in the conversation, Sally eventually told Gail that time had taken 'a pill' to which a shocked Gail replied: "Ecstasy?" as Sally replied: " No Gail, not those kinds of pills. Who do you think we are? We're not the Happy Mondays."
And fans were flocking to social media to have their say. @racjewel18 said: "Roaring with laughter at Sally & Gail." @janmac1958 wrote: "Absolutely hilarious tonight I'm crying laughing love it, this is bettr than all doom n gloom."
