Coronation Street's Andy Whyment was wished well as he prepared to enjoy an exotic break away from the UK.
The soap star is renowned for his role as Kirk Sutherland on the Cobbles. The actor has played Kirk through some of the show's most dramatic storylines as he had a rollercoaster romance with Fiz Brown before he found love with Beth Tinker.
However, Kirk has been through a tough time over recent weeks as his marriage was on the rocks after Beth rekindled her relationship with former lover, Marco. However, Beth seemingly realised the error of her ways in Friday's episode as she vowed to remain faithful to Kirk.
