Alan Halsall couldn't have looked further away from his overall-wearing Coronation Street character as he emerged from a private helicopter at Aintree. The actor, who is known for playing Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap, arrived at the Grand National in style and took to Instagram with a clip of the moment he stepped out at the racecourse.
Alan attended Thursday's horse racing event and made a dramatic entrance before sharing snaps from throughout the day to his more than 200,000 followers. The 39-year-old started his day by getting picked up in his own helicopter, with a glass of champagne firmly in hand for the trip.
As he headed up to the annual Merseyside event, Alan flew over the race track where he got an aerial snap. He captioned the image: "Go round again... I've not finished my [champagne emoji]." And once touching back down on solid ground, Alan made sure someone was there to capture his arrival.

Filmed in slow-motion, he shared a clip of himself stepping out of his helicopter for a day at the races as he buttoned up his suit jacket. The soap star looked suave in a three-piece grey checked suit, which he paired with a white shirt and navy blue tie. And he gave a nod to his footwear choice by playing Elvis' Blue Suede Shoes track over the video as he opted for a pair of blue leather shoes.
Alan appeared to enjoy his time at the event and even rubbed shoulders with other celebs. He shared a snap of himself with Irish professional golfer Pádraig Harrington, captioning it: "There's not many people I want a picture with..." But he also got a snap with his Corrie co-star.
Michael Le Vell, who plays Kevin Webster in the long-running soap, made a rare public appearance as he headed to the racecourse and happily obliged to picture with his on-screen business partner and posed for a picture together. "Webbo and Dobbo say out," Alan typed alongside the snap.
But Alan later posted a pic of him in the driving seat of the helicopter saying: "I'm flying us home ffs." It comes just a few weeks after he arrived at Cheltenham in the same extravagant style with Mikey North, who stars in Corrie as Gary Windass. Again walking in slow motion, Alan posted a video which he captioned: "Annual slo mo walk w****r!"
And the cobbles actors appeared to have a great time as they posed in the helicopter with a glass of pink fizz ahead of their day out at the horse racing.
