ITV Coronation Street mocked by Phillip Schofield over Emma police e-fit in Ted death case

Phillip Schofield didn't hold back as he saw a police e-fit being used in Coronation Street.

Fans of the ITV soap know that Emma Brooker and Faye Windass are hiding a death secret.

On New Year's Day, when driving back from a New Year's Eve party, learner driver Faye was behind the wheel of her dad's taxi when she knocked Ted over.

The elderly gentleman, who had dropped his shopping and biscuits rolled into the road, manage to get back up from the knock and the girls helped him home.

After returning home to Weatherfield, Emma and Faye kept quiet on what happened but they began to feel guilty and went back to check on Ted.

But when they let themselves in, they found him dead in his armchair.

Panicked they cleaned up the flat in a bid to remove any trace of them being there - until Emma signed for a parcel when a delivery man knocked on the door.

Faye's boyfriend Craig Tinker just so happens to be a police officer and Ted's death is now being treated as suspicious and is in the hands of the police.

On Tuesday's This Morning, soap writer Sharon Marshall joined Phillip and co-host Rochelle Humes for her latest soap segment.

She shared a clip from Corrie to air this week, showing the moment Faye confesses to her involvement in Ted's death to Craig.

She admits her wrongdoing as she fears Emma will end up in prison after an e-fit was released of a woman spotted at Ted's flat before his death.

The ITV programme then showed a close-up of the e-fit, which Craig claims looks like Emma, leaving the hosts bewildered.

"It's not really Emma, is it?" Sharon said as Rochelle laughed.

"That could be the worst e-fit I have ever seen in my life," Phillip declared as Rochelle couldn't keep it together.

"It looks like someone from out of space," Phil added. "It's from Star Trek," he exclaimed.

Rochelle appeared lost for words before commenting: "Well that's not where I saw that going."

And This Morning viewers were quick to comment.

"That Corrie e-fit #ThisMorning," @LelJoyce wrote alongside a gif of a woman spitting out her drink through laughing.

@a___w89 tweeted: "The e-fit of Emma #ThisMorning," with a string of crying laughing emojis.

"I am actually poorless with laughing hahaha," @Cosworthlady replied.
