Coronation Street fans have shared their concern after discovering Will Mellor will be returning to Coronation Street amid his stint on Strictly Come Dancing. The actor is currently wowing viewers with his moves on the hit BBC One dance show.
On Saturday night, Will got Strictly fans hot under the collar as they watched him channel Patrick Swayze from the raunchy film Dirty Dancing for the show's Movie Week special. He and his professional dance partner Nancy Xu performed the American Smooth to Cry To Me from the 1987 movie.
Will, 46, from Bredbury, didn't hide away from any hip thrusting while donning a white shirt, black trousers and a wet-hair look while Nancy gave her best Frances 'Baby' Houseman, the role made famous by Jennifer Grey.

Meanwhile, Will who joined the cast Coronation Street in 2021 as "out-and-out baddie", drugs lord Harvey Gaskell, will be returning to screens, this time on ITV, as he reprises his role in upcoming scenes.
Spoilers for the ITV soap have revealed that as Nick Tilsely and Sam Blakeman prepare to mark the anniversary of Natasha’s death, Nick's partner Leanne Battersby says she's going to the cash and carry but secretly heads off to visit Natasha's killer Harvey in prison after he sent a visiting order.
Leanne is shocked when Harvey tells her that Sam has been writing to him, and he wants Leanne and Nick to stop him. Leanne tells Nick what she has discovered and the pair confront Sam who gets upset and says he just wants to know why Harvey killed his mum. When Sam suggests that he’ll stop writing to Harvey if he can visit him instead, Nick and Leanne are horrified. But Sam’s adamant that it’s not their decision and he’ll find a way.
Later, when Audrey, Gail, Nick, David, Sarah, Leanne and Sam gather in the bistro for Natasha’s memorial lunch, Nick makes a speech. But Sam takes offence and explains to the family how he wants to meet Harvey to find out why he acted the way he did. Audrey will be seen giving Sam a pep talk and believes she has got through to him much to Nick’s relief.
However, in the backyard of number 9, Sam admits to Hope that he’s sent another letter to Harvey and that his dad would kill him if he knew. While Hope is impressed, in his prison cell, Harvey opens Sam’s letter and is amused to see that he’s sent him a questionnaire to fill in about his violent past.
Teasing the news on Tuesday morning (October 11) on their social channels, Coronation Street got fans talking about Harvey - and Will's - return to the soap. And some are a bit worried. Sue Shepherd wrote on Facebook: "Oh no, I’ve just got used to fancying him again on Strictly. I hated him as Harvey!"
Betty Makin argued: "What a TERRIBLE time to show him as a bad guy. When he’s on strictly. People will vote against him." Bob P Kelly posted: "Now I've seen him trying to ballroom dance he loses all status as a nasty villain."
But Norm Smith said: "Nice to see Will Mellor back. He’s a brilliant actor!" While Annette Luke agreed: "Glad to see Will back." @ShakyWoon tweeted: "Will Mellor is already smashing it on #Strictly! Now he's back in #Corrie I couldn't be happier!"
