ITV Coronation Street fans 'switch off' as they beg for storyline to end

Fans of Coronation Street are sick of seeing a certain character on their screens.

Stephen Reid has been up to no good for months now, and is yet to be caught. Viewers know that he pushed Leo from the roof of the factory into a skip – and to his death – and then disposed of the body afterwards.

Leo's death came after he confronted his killer about taking advantage of his mum, Audrey. He had been embezzling money from Gabrielle's company to pay his debts and trying to recover the sum from Audrey in order to avoid prison.

This week Stephen has continued to pile lies on top of lies - and fans have had enough of it. Some have threatened to 'switch off' from the soap as they hope that he is soon caught and off their screens.

On Twitter, Michelle said: "I'm more interested in max being grooming into a extremist group than killer Stephen tbh. He is a boring killer. End this Stephen storyline already!! #Corrie".

Claire said: "I can't cope with Stephen. He makes me want to turn over #Corrie." Michelle said: "So bored of Creepy Stephen and the way no one can see through this vile leech of a character who has nothing to offer."

Gail Rodwell had been doing her research and accused Stephen of secretly working as a delivery driver for Six Fellas in Bolton. She was actually correct but he denied it and said that wasn't the case.

He told her that the calls from them were the owner blaming Stephen for one of their staff bumping into him and damaging their moped. Eventually, Gail seemed convinced and backed off, but viewers at home knew the truth.
