Coronation Street fans were stunned and pleaded 'spare me' as they reacted to Kirk Sutherland's underwear admission. Monday night's trip to the cobbles (April 17) saw Beth Sutherland telling her husband that she was heading into town after finishing her shift at the factory.
But as viewers of the ITV soap saw, she was meeting up with her ex-Marco who first appeared on the cobbles last month when Beth got in touch with her former flame following a bit of interference from Rovers Return barmaid Glenda Shuttleworth. When letting Kirk know where she'll be, he made an unintentionally cheeky confession about his "crown jewels."
"I’m desperate for some new underpants," Kirk told Beth as he believed she was about to head into town to do some shopping. "What about that multipack I got you at Christmas," she asked to which he replied: "They are too tight. My crown jewels feel like they are trapped in a vice."

"Oh stop exaggerating," Beth snapped back. But Kirk didn't stop there as he added: “My boys need space where they can hang loose and breathe." Unimpressed by her man's tale, the Underworld machinist pleaded: "Spare me the grizzly details."
And Corrie fans were quick to flock to social media to comment - and there was a divide.
Fans flocked to social media immediately after Kirk’s comment. @FreshcoSurvival tweeted: "#corrie catch-up. Laughing so much at Kirk and his tight undies 'my crown jewels feel like they're trapped in a vice. My boys need space where they can hang loose and breathe."
@penniless_poet said: "Laughing at Beth saying Kirk is flopping around after him saying he likes his 'boys' to hang free - #Corrie." @ElaineWharton1 posted: "We don’t need to hear about your 'boys' Kirk #Corrie," alongside a sick face emoji. @bredrew2 wrote: "I don't need to hear about Kirk's [snooker ball emojis] ever again. #Corrie." @janwilkins59 added: "Spare us ALL the grisly details, please!! #Corrie."
But viewers were later left upset when Beth shared a kiss with her equally 80s-obsessed ex-Marco. And they were even caught on camera by Hope Stape, who will be keen for revenge after being slapped by Beth and being called a liar over it.
