Coronation Street fans were floored by Spider Nugent's return to the show.
Friday's edition of the long-running soap continued to explore Toyah Battersby's troubles after Imran Habeeb's death. The character tried to distract herself by mounting a protest against waste incineration.
Toyah hijacks an empty bin wagon as part of the protest, but was stunned when her old partner Spider climbed into the truck next to her. It is the first time the eco-warrior has appeared on the show since 2003.

Spider was Toyah Battersby's on/off boyfriend and endured a turbulent time on the cobbles before the couple quit Weatherfield for a fresh start in London. They separated offscreen and Spider moved to Peru while Toyah returned to the Cobbles to be with her family in 2016.
Corrie bosses announced Spider would return to the show in April and he made his first appearance in 19 years tonight. The soap legend is played by Martin Hancock on the programme and fans following the show on Twitter were gobsmacked by his ageless appearance.
Sam said: "Are we quite sure it’s been 20 years since we last saw Spider? He doesn’t look a day older!"
Trudy added: "Spider hasn’t changed much"
Michelle posted: "Spider looks the same"
Peter tweeted : "Spider must be drinking some special potion as he looks the same as when he left."
Leah said: "Spider from Corrie hasn't aged a day"
