ITV Coronation Street fans fume as soap splits Abi and Kevin again before pointing out errors

Coronation Street fans have been left furious with soap bosses as Abi and Kevin Webster split - again.

The couple have only been married for three months but their relationship has already hit the rocks.

During Wednesday night's trip to Weathefield, viewers of the ITV soap watched as Abi inadvertently revealed to her husband that she had cheated on him after letting slip her one-night stand to Sally Metcalfe.

Earlier this week Imran Habeeb and Toyah Battersby were quietly celebrating their engagement in the bistro when their romantic mood is broken by the arrival of Abi, Sally, and Sean Tully.

The factory worker attempted to get the group to play a game of 'never have I ever' but it didn't go down well and Abi stormed out.

Sally soon found her friend outside the bistro clearly upset and it is then that Abi admits to Sally that she slept with someone else behind Kevin’s back - after she thought it was Kevin who had cheated on Abi.

Abi was desperate to get an unimpressed Sally to keep schtum but things went wrong following the adoption hearing.

Sally listened to Abi’s message and soon called her back, telling Abi they needed to sort it out.

Stood outside the garage, Abi is unaware that her phone is connected to the bluetooth speaker in the camper van which Kevin was fixing.

Having heard their conversation, Kevin was left reeling and later told Abi that he and son Jack were still going on their holiday - and that he wanted her gone when by time he gets back.

But Corrie fans were quick to point out a blunder.

@HildaOgdenOnSea tweeted: "I wish my car's Bluetooth system would broadcast both sides of a conversation, rather than the one which was - you know - *not* the person actually in the vehicle. #Corrie."

"Van wouldn’t start.. how did they manage to connect Abi’s phone to it #Corrie," @ElloTeenah spotted.

Others were soon branding Kevin a 'hypocrite' due to his cheating past.

But they also remembered something from when Kevin and Abi split back in September, before getting back together and tying the knot.

"I don’t get this Abbie told Kevin she slept with someone before they got married #corrie," @sadlerfiona21 said.

@DionPetrie replied: "I was thinking that as well he told her they would start fresh, was that someone else?"

"When they got back together and Kevin begged Abi to stay, he said anything that happened before didn’t count, that they were starting afresh. Have the writers forgotten this? #corrie," @angelsflight_ asked.

@griannedoherty2 echoed: "When they got back together & Kevin begged Abi to stay, he said anything that happened before didn’t count, that they were starting afresh. Have the writers forgotten? Him & Sal are both total hypocrite's judging Abi. She was grieving what was their excuse for cheating? #Corrie."

In all though, Corrie fans were fuming that the soap had split up another couple.

"Here we go again. Yet another love story ruined. Why oh why cant a couple be happy. Now all that will hspprn is 2 couples relationships will be ruined. Great - NOT," Karen complained on Facebook.

Collette wrote: "A actually love them together hope they make it why can’t there be any happiness one soap and there’s about three couples on the rocks.£

"I would like to see Abbi & Kevin happy sick of couples not staying together please get rid of Lydia," Veronica commented.
