Coronation Street fans shared their surprise as they suddenly came across Simon Barlow busting some moves. While we say Simon, we actually means the soap star who plays him, Alex Bain, who has been getting involved in some TikTok dance trends - and going viral.
Actor Alex, 20, shares a joint account with his pal Aaron Varden and the pair are regularly posting snippets of them performing mini choreographed routines.

And one video, in particular, caught people's eye as it has been viewers around 1.9 MILLION times and has attracted tens of thousands of likes and plenty of comments.
It sees the lads joining in with the latest dance trend to grace the popular video-sharing app set to Because of You by American superstar singer Ne-Yo. It sees people perform in pairs with one performing certain dance moves with the other then copying before they repeat the four-part steps together at the end.
Alex can be seen in the video with Aaron at the side of a car park, dressing in a black hoodie, matching joggers and a black coat. While they didn't caption the video, they added the hashtags 'Neyo' and 'chill vibe'.
But with the video picking up plenty of attraction, Corrie fans couldn't believe their eyes.
"Imagine walking past and see Simon Barlow swinging moves around like that," @tescovalue2 said.
@recoverysuitsme_gem wrote; "Simon? Is that you?"
"Okay so why do I all of a sudden fancy Simon Barlow," @amb_brownie commented.
@mollylouisebaddeley tagged a pal and said: "Imagine nipping Asda and seeing Simon Barlow having a boogie in the car park."
"HELP IS THAT SIMON," @xo.sophh.x immediately asked a friend.
Still, viewers were loving it. "Ayeee corrie fan here," @kcass88 commented. "Go on lads."
But Aaron was also getting attention with some having to doubletake after thinking it was Moston-born rapper Aitch and they even joined one of his TikTok trends which has been doing the round to promote his new single, Baby.
The video has racked up more than 110,000 views with the caption reading: "Someone said Aaron looks like @Aitch."
And Aaron and Alex must be proving popular as they have more than 73,000 followers on the platform with their bio reading: "Just two best mates having fun."
Alex, from Blackburn, has grown up on screen having joined Coronation Street back in 2008. Last year, 13 years after making his debut at Simon, the young actor was getting stuck into another big storyline when his character was lured into the dark and murky world of drugs gangs.
Not many people know that Alex is a bit of a triple threat as he completed his college course online last summer at Shockout Arts, where he trained in musical theatre. But it hasn't always been easy.
"I went through quite a few tough times in school," Alex told us last year. "Even from primary school, because being the only male dancer that I was, especially at primary school you know kids, they can be horrible. They can truthfully be horrible. But I never saw it as bullying. It’s that lack of awareness as a child especially."
