Coronation Street fans were left doing a double take as they tuned into the latest hour-long edition of the ITV soap due to a 'naked' Nick Tilsley. The character, played by Ben Price, was back on-screen as Simon Barlow asked for a job with Nick and his mum, Leanne Battersby.
Having lost his previous job, Simon taps up the Bistro owners but their current financial situation doesn't allow them to take on any more staff. Coming to the rescue, step-mum Carla offers to let Simon join the Underworld sales team, but Leanne isn't happy that he'll be working with Jacob.
Simon reassured her that everything would fine and that if Jacob did start pushing drugs again, he'd know about it and be able do something.

However, the scenes were distracting for Corrie viewers for an entirely bizarre reason as they couldn't help but think that Nick was topless during the episode.
Despite it being somewhat of an optical illusion as it was a nude coloured knit, fans couldn't help but comment on social media. @DawnLeane tweeted: "I thought Nick was naked there for a minute #Corrie."
@fussyMcWhiskers echoed: "#corrie glanced at the screen - thought Nick was naked." @ToriaTowers commented: "That nude coloured top is a massive no-no, Nick. You look like you've no top on, mate. #Corrie." @corriepodcast, aka Talk of the Street, shared: "Five minutes into tonight's #corrie, the play we've been building towards for weeks is cancelled, Nick's wearing that jumper that makes him look topless, and Simon's been sacked from a job I never knew he had."
But it appears fans were also confused at the mention of Simon's job. @ConversationStr tweeted: "*whispers* What was Simon’s job…? #corrie #coronationstreet." @CavoloChe said: "Just catching up with tonight's episode. Where was Simon working for him to get made redundant? The last job he had was pushing drugs. @itvcorrie #Corrie."
@DavidJosephLaw2 echoed: "Where was Simon working? Not seen him with a job since he was at the chippy. #corrie." @mishybabez_ asked: "Simon's been sacked? Since when did he have a job? #Corrie." @cannylad23 added: "Always a job going in the street. Didn't even know simon had a job #corrie."
