Coronation Street fans were gobsmacked as Adam Barlow showed off his new look.
Wednesday's edition of the long-running soap continued to explore the fallout of the character's failing marriage with Sarah Platt. Sarah decided she wanted to end their relationship following Lydia Chamber's revelations about his past.
The character, played by Sam Robertson, drowned his sorrows in the latest episode with a trip to the Rovers Return. He proceeded to flirt with a girl at the bar and lied that his wife had died and he was celebrating his birthday alone.

Daisy Midgely was horrifed after hearing the comments and alerted Daniel Osbourne, who entered the pub and rumbled the lies. The girl was horrified after the revelation and threw her drink at Adam.
However, viewers were distracted during the scenes as Adam debuted a new look. The character has been sporting a short buzz cut lately and is often seen wearing a suit. However, his first appearance in the show tonight saw him donning a much longer hairstyle with a black jumper.
Viewers following the show on Twitter said they struggled to recognise the renowned character and took to the social media platform to address the change.

Other fans were in hysterics and said Adam's new look reminded them of the famous Milk Tray Man.
