ITV Coronation Street fans beg Sarah Platt to stop her 'grating' habit

Coronation Street fans were demanding Sarah Platt to stop her "grating" habit in tonight's show.

Friday's edition of the long-running soap continued to explore Sarah's turbulent marriage to Adam Barlow.

The couple have experienced a rocky patch after Lydia Chambers arrived on Weatherfield.

The character, played by Rebecca Ryan, is one of Adam's former lovers and has subtly been driving a wedge between him and Sarah.

Her efforts have proved to be successful as the married couple spent Valentine's Day apart earlier this week.

However, the two were determined to put their troubles behind them on tonight's hour long episode.

Sarah was resolved to put more focus on their relationship before Adam revealed he wants to try again for a baby.

However, viewers were distracted during the exchange as Sarah referred to her husband as "darling".

Fans on Twitter took to the social media platform to demand Sarah stop the naming habit.

Emma said: "Sarah pleeeease stop calling Adam "Darling" it's getting grating now"

Verity responded: "My god...glad its not just me, drives me insane, its every single sentence"

Carole commented: "Play @coronationstreet bingo, have a shot every time Sarah calls Adam darling you'll be mullered by first break"

Katie posted: "So cringe when Sarah calls Adam darling"

Owen joked: "Meena saying no comment is worse than Sarah Platt/Barlow keep saying my darling"

Coronation Street airs weekdays on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
