Coronation Street viewers were baffled as Sean Tully's son became a permanent resident on Weatherfield.
One of Sean's most dramatic storylines on the Cobbles came when he agreed to impregnate Violet Wilson. This was under the condition that Sean wouldn't play a part in the child's upbringing, but he backtracked on the agreement when Dylan was born.
Dylan has not been seen on the Cobbles since 2020, but he has returned earlier this year as Sean's whirlwind romance with Frank Bardsley was about to come to an end. The character, played by Anthony Cotton, has since been attempting to reconnect with his son.

Dylan told Sean he needed to temporarily move away from his home in London as he wanted to escape being bullied at school. However, he admitted in tonight's episode he had lied and just wanted to swap life in London for Weatherfield.
Sean spoke to Violet, who agreed Dylan could permanently make the move to the Cobbles. However, fans following the show on Twitter were distracted during the development.
Dylan has lived with his mum in London for the past 14 years, but fans were confused why the character, played by Liam McCheyne, speaks with a thick Manchester accent.
Sonia said: "I’m not sure that Dylan would have a northern accent when he was brought up in London since he was born. He has only visited Sean very occasionally"
Kyle added: "If Dylan on Coronation Street has lived in London with his mother Violet all of his life then why does he have a northern accent instead of a London one?"
Taz posted: "Has Dylan ever even been to London, why does he have a northern accent?"
Jenny commented : "Am I missing something ? Why does Sean's son have a Manchester accent if he was brought up in London? Or wasn't he"
Emma tweeted: "How does a child who has spent his entire life in London talk with a strong northern accent"
Mary said: "If Shaun's son has mostly lived in London , why does he have a northern accent"
