ITV Coronation Street fans baffled by 'missing' characters

Coronation Street viewers spotted a few problems at Weatherfield High as the school reopened after the Easter break during Wednesday's episode.

An insecure Daisy was plotting to set Nicky up with a new partner as her jealousy of their friendship continued to grow. She asked Daniel if the three of them could go for a drink after work - not letting slip that she planned to also invite a fourth person to introduce Nicky to.

Later scenes saw Nicky and Daniel chatting in an English classroom at Weatherfield High. Nicky offered to share her lunch with Daniel, who responded by asking if she'd like to go to the Rovers with him after work.

An ecstatic-looking Nicky immediately said yes, but when Daniel added: "It was Daisy's idea", she looked deflated. One pupil walked in to drop off some books, as Daniel said: "Thanks Kelly".

Viewers at home spotted a number of issues with the scenes. Taking to Twitter, some noticed the rest of the children were missing.

Phil M said: "Where are all the kids and staff in Daniel's school? It's deserted", while MissyMichW said: "Just seen one pupil in the school for the first time ever. Just one though".

Another fan commented on the display on the classroom wall. A Hilda Ogden fan account said: "Every English classroom needs a wholly relevant display of Edinburgh facts." Meanwhile, Dayjur said: "Has the school not done a background check on Nicky?"

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8.30pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
