Coronation Street's Alan Halsall has revealed why he is "worried" in the lead up to Christmas.
The soap star is renowned for his role as Tyrone Dobbs in the long-running ITV show. The actor spoke to the Liverpool ECHO and other press at the grand unveiling of Weatherfield Precinct.
Alan lifted the lid on what is to come for his character over the festive period as he arranges as surprise Christmas Day wedding with Fiz Stape. The character played by Jennie McAlpine has no idea about the occasion and is frustrated with Tyrone's seeming disinterest in making Christmas plans.

Tyrone's plot sparks chaos as Fiz will become stranded as she tries to find a turkey for Christmas dinner. The character will be unable to contact his bride to be as she leaves her phone back in Coronation Street which raises questions on whether she will make it back for them to finally tie the knot.
The 40-year-old also revealed that Christmas away from the Cobbles will be fortunately less dramatic for him and his family. He said: "I love everything about Christmas.
"Christmas is a real family orientated time for me. We generally just congregate in one house. Enjoy Christmas dinner, watch films and play games."
Alan is the proud dad of Sienna from his previous marriage to Hollyoaks and Corrie star Lucy Jo Hudson. He is now in a relationship with former co-star Tisha Merry and the two wowed Sienna last year with a trip to Lapland.
However, Alan said the magical trip has left him concerned about the upcoming holiday. He told the ECHO and other press: "Last year we were lucky enough to go to Lapland and meet the real father Christmas.
"I don't know if we can top that this year which is a bit of a worry. Sienna is super excited for Christmas."
Sienna is now aged 9 and Alan was in hysterics as he reveals his daughter has become aware of her parents' star status. He said: "She's getting a bit cheekier with it. We're walking around a shop and she'll say 'look, daddy, there's you on a magazine.'"
