The Chase viewers felt a contestant was 'robbed' of his winnings after a difficult battle against Jenny Ryan.
Steve, 53, from Kilmarnock, faced The Vixen after securing £8,000 in the cash builder.
In the first round, Steve fired through the questions, impressing fans of the show.

However as he went head to head with the Chaser, Steve's luck appeared to run out as the questions grew increasingly difficult, reports GlasgowLive.
One question Bradley asked was: “Someone with a nightshade intolerance should avoid eating what?”
Another question posed was: “What is another term for the King James Bible translation?”
And after failing a question about the idiom, "We'll burn that bridge when we get to it", mistakenly calling it a 'spoonerism' when it is in fact a malaphor, Steve was eliminated.
But fans weren't happy with the cash builder, as they complained the questions were far too hard.
Louis said: "Think Steve was unlucky there - Would have rather seen him go through."
Michelle said: "Steve has been massively stitched up on The Chase".
Jeanie said: "They were seriously hard questions for Steve poor sod".
Jonny added: ""Steve's questions were horrifying there."
Jules claimed: "Hardest set of questions ever for Steve...proper fix!"
And Emma said: "Steve was robbed, those questions were ridiculous."
