ITV cancel Saturday Night Takeaway in favour of Six Nations

Popular ITV entertainment show Saturday Night Takeaway has been cancelled next week to make way for coverage of the Six Nations.

England go head-to-head with France on March 19 from 7.15 to 10.30pm meaning millions of Ant and Dec fans will have to wait two weeks before their next Takeaway fix.

Sam Fender is set to join the duo this Saturday for the End of the End Show Show but, once the programme ends, fans will be forced to wait two weeks until the next episode.

So far in 2022, Saturday Night Takeaway has given us some memorable moments, with arguably the highlight being on Undercover with Jeremy Clarkson as the victim.

On the same day, scheduling on the BBC will also be affected by live sporting action as Middlesbrough take on Chelsea in the sixth round of the FA Cup, as reported by ChronicleLive.

A week ahead of the schedule changes, fans have taken to Twitter to voice their concern.

One person tweeted: "Saturday is going to be so boring with no Saturday Night Takeaway."
