ITV Britain's Got Talent viewers uncover Malakai Bayoh's showbiz past

Britain's Got Talent viewers were gobsmacked by Malakai Bayoh's sensational performance in last night's show.

The 13-year-old performed an incredible rendition of Pie Jesu on Sunday's edition of the popular ITV programme. Malakai sailed through to the live semi finals after Simon Cowell pressed his golden buzzer.

The performer's voice was also a hit with judges Amanda Holden, Bruno Tonioli and Alesha Dixon. Fans took to social media and said Malakai deserved to make it through to the live shows.

Mike said: "Malakai… wow wow wow.. what a voice.. 13 years of age… what a talented lad. Well deserving of @SimonCowell golden buzzer."

David added: "Malakai was sublime."

Kazzy posted: "Superb, awesome, amazing, could listen to him sing all day and night."

Fans following the show on Twitter uncovered how Malakai is no stranger to fame as he made his debut in the Royal Opera House along with Aled Jones in December last year. The Royal Opera House banned a member of the audience who heckled during Malakai's performance.

A statement issued at the time said: "Unfortunately, the opening night of Alcina featured an audience member who disrupted the show and the excellent performance by young singer Malakai M Bayoh.

"We would like to congratulate Malakai M Bayoh for his stellar performance as Oberto in our first night of Alcina. Malakai is astonishingly talented – bringing great acting and beautiful singing to the role – a huge accomplishment for such a young singer. We are appalled that a member of the audience behaved in this way and our support is with Malakai and the cast and creative team of Alcina. Steps have been taken to ensure the audience member in question does not return to the Royal Opera House."

Viewers following the show on Twitter were baffled as to how someone could heckle Malakai, especially after he showcased his incredible voice.

Matthew said: "Remember the story about a child getting heckled in the Royal Opera House? He's on Britain's Got Talent now"

David added: "Would love to know who heckled Malakai in the past. Name & shame. A voice from heaven"
