ITV Britain’s Got Talent viewers not blown away by farting act

Monday night saw the first live semi-final of family favourite show, Britain's Got Talent. Only two acts from the show are promised a spot through to the finals.

Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli have now had their say and the general public will cast the deciding vote on who makes it through to the grand final on Saturday, June 3. Farting act Ichikawa Koikuchi, left the judges feeling flat after his act failed to blow them away.

His act saw him breaking wind in time to music and using it to fire coloured powder like a firework. All four pressed their buzzers - with Simon Cowell holding out the longest despite clearly being directly in what Amanda Holden described as the 'slip way' for the smells he was producing.

He was the first act of the night to get four red Xs - though he could be saved by the public's vote. However multiple viewers took to social media to voice their dislike of the act.

Twitter user @cheekychickpea said: "We have sunk to new depths when we are watching a man farting on BGT. What a joke!" While @Neon_Wolf111 said: "Imagine not getting voted through to the semi-finals and tuning in to see who beat you only to be greeted by a man lying on his back, cheeks spread, farting powder into the air."

Others complained that the act left the feeling queasy. @lostintimeline tweeted: "Imagine you are at the audience watching the farting guy" followed by a gagging GIF.
