ITV breaks silence on Matt Hancock's I'm A Celeb feud after editing campmates reunion

ITV has been put under the spotlight after I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! The Coming Out Show failed to show every aspect of Matt Hancock's arrival at the hotel after leaving camp on Sunday. The disgraced former Health Secretary finished third during the final and reunited with his girlfriend Gina Coladangelo on the bridge, before heading back to the JW Marriott hotel on Australia's Gold Coast where the celebrities stay following their jungle exit.

But while the MP posed for selfies and hugged his former campmates outside the hotel, ITV viewers were left questioning just how welcome his reception was on Sunday night. The special episode showed the other celebrities' reunions with each other at the hotel, with viewers seeing Chris Moyles casually popping into Mike Tindall's room with some beers.

Hancock's journey back to normality, however, focused on the controversial campmate catching up with girlfriend Gina. As the scenes played out on screen, I'm a Celeb fans were quick to notice the edit and debated on why his hotel arrival was left out of the final cut.

Taking to Twitter, one asked: "Reckon they skipped Matt's welcoming to the hotel because nobody turned up?" Echoing their comments, someone else said: "Not them skipping Matt's hello to everyone at the hotel." While a third wrote: "Crying because there was no welcome for Matt."

If social media is anything to go by, there could be a feud among this year's line-up - particularly given that a number of stars have failed to follow the West Suffolk MP on any platforms. Following his reality TV venture, Hancock returned to England to face the music - and it hasn't gone down well with some.

Yesterday, Piers Morgan revealed the MP had landed ahead of returning to his constituents in West Suffolk, as he bumped into him at Heathrow Airport. The TalkTV host, who was critical of Mr Hancock's decision to appear on the ITV show, told his fans online how he told the controversial campmate how he would have given him "a kicking" had he been in camp with him.
