ITV has axed a popular Saturday night show - and the host has moved to the BBC. Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow has been "rested" to make room for live sport instead, according to insiders.
Alan has chosen to move over to the BBC as the show won't return for a new series. It comes as ITV has chosen to broadcast the Rugby World Cup in September and October.
Alan's programme was a family-friendly hit which included a reboot of retro game shows. The 46-year old comedian hosted games such as Bullseye and Name That Tune.

Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow first came on to screens in 2020 and has had three successful seasons. Show insiders told The Sun that it is being "rested" to make way for the Rugby World Cup.
It follows news the BBC has taken Alan from ITV after he was snubbed for the Britain's Got Talent judging job in favour of Bruno Tonioli. He will become one of the new faces of BBC1's Saturday night line-up as host of new quiz show Picture Slam.
The news comes after it emerged another ITV show is set to be shelved this year. The Masked Dancer reportedly won't return for a new series.
The reality dancing competition has been shelved after just two series to make way for ITV's coverage of the Rugby World Cup in the autumn, an industry insider has claimed.
